Heading South

~ Highlight of the Day: Successfully printing out 24 beautiful pages of plant pictures ~

 

There are only 8 days between now and when I leave for Alabama. That's 8 days to make sure I know 146 interior plants forwards and backwards. 8 days to get ahead in all my classes so I can survive missing a week. . . 

I am so excited :)

 

First of all, I've never been further south than Tennessee (in the east. . . New Mexico and Arizona hardly count), and though I've learned of the 'Deep South' in my various American History classes, I've lately developed this desire to actually experience it.

 

I'm sure the south is quite normal. But honestly, when I think 'South', I think 'To Kill a Mocking Bird', and 'Beautiful Creatures', and 'Sweet Home Alabama', and that's all I got.

 

So I'm really looking forward to spending some time in Alabama.

 

Not to mention I'm going to totally rock my competition.

 I spent a good two hours today cutting out pictures of interior plants:

 

And tomorrow I'll spend many more hours gluing them onto flashcards - and once I have the names on them these flashcards won't be leaving my side till I'm walking into the test, ready to ace it.

 

Yep. That's my plan, and I'm stickin' to it :)
