~ Highlight of the Day: Making olive oil! ~
Today was our Christian Quarter Field trip. We visited the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Alexander Nevsky, the hostel at the Franciscan Terra Sanctae complex, the Syriac Orthodox Church of St. Mark, and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
I didn't get a lot of pictures in the churches, since my camera's older than dirt and just can't handle difficult lighting situations, but I got a few good ones on the way to the churches :)

Walking to all these churches through the less touristy, more residential areas of Jerusalem was probably the best part of the fieldtrip. What I'm going to miss most when I go back to Provo are the beautiful streets lined with interesting and ever varied limestone architecture.

I've been to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre a handful of times now, and I like visiting generally - it's a neat place. It's got a very different atmosphere than churches I'm accustomed to, and it's moving to observe all the people who've traveled so far to worship there.
It's getting late, so I'll cover making olive oil tomorrow :)
